The Motorcycle Crime Reduction Group (MCRG) is a partnership made up of representatives from rider interest groups, the insurance and security industries, motorcycle manufacturers and retailers, and the Police.
The MCRG’s mission is “to improve the safety and security of motorcycle and scooter users by reducing the opportunity for theft of and from these vehicles”.
The MCRG provides the opportunity to bring together a broad range of stakeholders with an interest in combating motorcycle and scooter theft including both enthusiastic amateurs and professionals, who, through the work of the Group, will seek to engage the wider community.
The Group will work together to provide a source of education and guidance on best practice to the public, manufacturers and insurers, as well as the Police. They encourage engagement by all stakeholders, identifying opportunities to educate, promote good practice and to consider novel solutions at all levels.
Their objectives are to increase the knowledge and experience of the group through a representative membership, to provide a directory of services offered by the MCRG; and to provide support to rider interest groups, local and regional, police and other agencies on crime reduction campaigns.
